President, National Mounted Warfare
Foundation.
Bob will
provide an overview of the National Mounted
Warfare Foundation and Museum, update on the
status of the museum, and their initiatives
such as the recorded and collected veterans'
stories for their "Step Into the Story"
program.

advocating for Fort Cavazos, regional
defense industries, and Soldiers and
Families.

Kris Radcliffe is the 5, 6 and 10 p.m.
anchor at KCEN TV serving Waco, Temple and
Killeen.
For 6 years in a row in 2016, 2017, 2018,
2019, 2020, and again in 2021, Kris was
named the “Waco Tribune-Herald On-Air
Television Personality of The Year.”

Monthly Meeting/Reservations
The next scheduled luncheon will be on Friday, 17 January
2025 from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM. We will
meet at the Lions Den, 5100 Trimmier Road, Killeen,
Texas. It can be seen from Trimmier Road.

Let's start the New Year of 2025
by welcoming back JP William "Bill" Cooke as our guest speaker,
who was unanimously elected sheriff of Bell county, as a trusted
public servant.
Bill has stated he would maintain and
promote public safety in the county and make sure it has a safe
correctional facility.
“We all can agree that, to keep Bell County a safe place for its
citizens to live and to raise their family, we have to work
together to fight the crime here in Bell county,” he said.
Bill is a fiscal conservative, and he will make sure the
sheriff’s office use of funds is transparent.
A priority for Cooke is tackling the mental health crisis in
Bell County.
“Trust me to assemble a team of mental health professionals to
address this problem,” he said.
We will also be be swearing in our new
Officers and Directors for 2025.
Here is the rest of the scoop: 1)
luncheon cost is $18; 2) pay annual dues of $25 to local
chapter; 3) purchase MOAA coin for $7; 4) invite more officers
to join the chapter; 5) bring a friend to hear Bill Cooke; and
6) come and enjoy great fellowship.
Our menu will be a hearty beef and vegetable stew, with some
rice and cornbread, and a classic chili with fixings. Dessert
will be banana pudding with pound cake.
We will Bless the food
after most everyone is seated and eating.
Please respond as soon as possible. RSVPs must
be received by 10 January.
The
luncheon will begin at 11:30 AM and is $18.00
per person.
