CenTex MOAA Purpose
The Central Texas MOAA Chapter (CenTex) promotes the purposes of the national Military
Officers Association of America (MOAA), fosters fraternal
relations among retired, active duty and former officers and
warrant officers of the eight uniformed services and their
reserve components, protects the rights and interests of
personnel of the seven uniformed services and their dependents
and survivors, and provides useful service for members and their
dependents and survivors to serve the community and the nation.

these actions to join/renew:
1. Scroll down past the Find Your Closest Chapter and other
Headers.
2. Click on the Join or Renew Your Chapter Dues button.
3. Fill in the drop down boxes in order. In the last box, select Central
Texas Chapter.

The next scheduled luncheon will be on Friday, 21 March 2025 from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM. We will
meet at the Lions Den, 5100 Trimmier Road, Killeen,
Texas. It can be seen from Trimmier Road.

21 March Meeting
Speaker
We have a tremendous guest
speaker, Stephanie Newell, Assistant District Attorney for Bell
County.
Newell graduated from Texas Tech Law School in 2001 - the same
year she earned her prosecutor license. In January 2002,
she began her career as an assistant DA in El Paso County.
Newell has held many board positions within the community,
including the Bell County Bar Association, Bell County Women’s
Bar Association, Bell County Young Lawyers Association and the
Children’s Advocacy Center of Central Texas. She has been
recognized for her hard work and leadership, and was awarded the
Texas Tech School of Law Bob Black Bar Leaders Award and as Bell
County Women’s Bar Association Attorney of the Year in 2018.
After signing in
and paying, you will go right through the serving line, get your
food, get seated and you are all set.
Our menu will be grilled chicken, brisket,
cucumber & tomato salad, loaded baked potato, and strawberry
shortcake.
We will Bless the food
after most everyone is seated and eating.
Please respond as soon as possible using the
Reservations button. RSVPs must be
received by 14 March.
The luncheon will begin at 11:30 AM and is $18.00 per person.
